Spring is here!

In Colorado even though this is the official first day of Spring, we are going to have snow this weekend! Snowdrops come up first because they are so hardy - even with the snow those snowdrops that all have blooms will still have blooms after the snow melts.  The crocus that popped out today might not fair so well.  The crossing of the dried material and the new green shoots made for interesting patterns.  Enjoy Spring!

Snow Drop

The snowdrop is the harbinger of spring!  I had one up before our big snow and found 3 others after the snow started melting.  The dark lines above are from a shadow cast by some stray dried grass in the area, I liked the effect they had on the final outcome.  There are other green things starting to appear in the garden, so Spring is on it's way!

Circles of light is the title, but mandala above also reminds me a bit of fire works.

This is the last of my holiday lights pictures.  Spring is coming even though we have been having snow storm after snow storm - I had a snow drop flower bloom in the front of the house.

Denver City and County Building

Another view of the Denver City and County Building all lit up for the holidays.  They can change the colors and this version was supposed to be orange and blue for the broncos.  The earlier picture had more blues and greens and was a section taken from the long low part of the building not the front entry.
