portobello mushroom
The gills of a freshly washed Portobello mushroom, so crisp but the empty center bothers me. I want to put something there. Usually I put various saying in the middle of my mandala - I have resisted, so far.

Kiwi
The kiwi - I love their great color and the seeds - so I made them more round than they really are. Added poster edges in Photoshop.

Red Cabbage
The vegetable isle is a source for many picture ideas. Thought I would try my hand at taking pictures of some of them. I like the intricate patterns when you cut a slice through the red cabbage, a mandala above.

Snow
We only got 6 inches down in Denver Area, but the mountains are headed toward a record snow for January - 5 to 10 feet!! Unfortunately with that much snow come avalanches. There were many road closures for avalanche cleanup yesterday. I thought my tree out front looked like it had pillows of snow on the ends of the branches.

color for the new year
Thought some color would be appropriate for the new year! This was a beaded star made into another star - I liked the connections the wires imply and it is certainly brighter than the gray overcast day that is out my window. Here's to a brighter New Year!
